Funeral & Cremation Options
Traditional Funeral Services
While it is true that America is a land of diverse cultural, and religious backgrounds most families prefer a traditional funeral service. Such a service may include embalming, dressing and cosmetizing of the deceased, visitation at our facility and a funeral service at a church of your choosing or our funeral home. The service would be followed by a procession to a cemetery for earth burial or entombment in a family or community mausoleum.
Graveside Funeral Service
While not as common as the traditional funeral service, this service would involve many elements of the traditional funeral service but services would be held at the family grave site in a cemetery of your choosing. This may or may not include visitation for family and friends.
When a decision has been made not to have services the deceased would be interred at a cemetery of your choosing without a public visitation or funeral service.
The ritual of cremation has been a common practice for many cultures for centuries. While a traditional funeral service is more common here in the United States, cremation is steadily becoming more of an accepted means of disposition.
Please keep in mind that your choice of cremation as a means of final disposition does not limit your options as far as planning a funeral service is concerned.
You may still have public visitation and a church funeral service prior to the cremation. In fact you have more options than you think.
