Carmen I. Guzmán, of Wallkill, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. She was 82.
Daughter of the late Ramón Collazo and Maria Gabina Albizú, she was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 23, 1936.
Carmen was a retired assembler for Consumer Promotions, Mt. Vernon, NY.
Survivors include two sons, Domingo Guzmán, Jr., and his wife Nancy of Newburgh and Ricardo Guzmán and his wife Magda of the Bronx; two daughters, Iris Guzmán of Wallkill and Maria I. Guzmán-Robles and her husband Antonio of Wallkill; one brother, Rámon Collazo of Ocala, FL; eleven grandchildren, Saul, Talia, Joseph, Nicholas, Alyssa, Jonathan, Brian, Kateri, Shianne, Imani and David; and five great grandchildren, Serenity, Angel, Eva, Nora, David, and one on the way; and niece JoAnn Collazo.
She was predeceased by her husband, Domingo Guzmán in 1969; two brothers, Antonio and Jaime Collazo; and one sister, Pura Rodriguez.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, Rt. 52, Newburgh. Burial will follow at Long Island National Cemetery.
