Frances L. Wendell a longtime resident of the Marlboro entered into rest Monday, August 12, 2019. She was 91 years old.
Daughter of the late John M. Hanlon and Minnie D. (Campney) Lake, she was born September 22, 1927 in Manchester, Vermont.
Frances was retired from the Bank of New York as an operations clerk in Newburgh and in her earlier years she worked for Lily of France in Newburgh. She attended Trinity United Methodist Parish and was active with the women’s group at the parish.
Survivors include children; Bruce E. Wendell of Orlando, Florida, Toni L. McGuiness of Marlboro and Jean E. Goddard of Ellijay of Georgia. Grandchildren: Victor Sachar and his wife, Susan of Saugerties, Eric Sachar and his wife, Rachel of Georgia, Cherri and her companion, Silvia of Florida, Shannon Wendell and his wife, Melissa of Nevada, Shaun McGuiness of Missouri, Melissa Meyer and her husband, Jeffrey of Newburgh. Great Grandchildren: Victoria Weaver, Samantha Sachar, Daniel Sachar, Gabriella Wendell, Cassie Gharbaoui and Hunter Meyer, as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, John H. Wendell in 1997.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Graveside service will take place 11:00 am on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh, with The Reverend Jeffrey Hooker officiating.
