William J. Goggin, of Wallkill, entered into rest, on Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was 73.
Son of the late Maurice and Clara (Phillips) Goggin, he was born on March 2, 1946 in Washington Heights, NY.
A 45 year area resident, he was a retired police officer for the NYPD, Precinct 44, South Bronx. He proudly served his country in the US Army. “Bill” as his friends and family called him will be remembered for his quick and witty sense of humor. He loved music and was a avid Mets and Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his wife Mary at home; three daughters, Tracey Rohl of Modena, Erin (Joel) Holmes and Courtney Goggin, both of Plattekill; three sons, Christopher Goggin of Plattekill, Andrew Goggin of New Windsor and Kerrin (Melissa) Goggin of Milford, PA; a brother, Edward ( Ellen) Goggin of Stony Point; a sister, Maureen Goggin of Fort Lee, NJ; seven grandchildren, Marissa, Nicholas, Jarred, Ciarra, Noelani, Natalie and Shawn; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a niece/God daughter, Kathleen Goggin-Javenes.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will take place at a later date, to be announced by the family.
