Margie J. Barger of the Town of Newburgh, a retired librarian for the Newburgh Enlarged School District entered into rest Sunday, January 13, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. She was 89.
The daughter of the late George and Sally Bremner Conley, she was born June 23, 1923 in Peekskill, NY.
She was a charter member of the Winona Lake Engine Co. and a member of Gardnertown United Methodist Church. Marge's life was centered around her family and friends. She always gave of herself to those with an open heart and brought happiness to everyone.
Margie is survived her sons; Ronald Barger of the Town of Newburgh, Russell Barger Jr. and his wife Valery of Wallkill, NY., daughter-in-law; Nancy Helms of Newburgh, sister; Doris Simmonds of CT., grandchildren; Eric, Cody, Andrew, Bryan and Christopher Barger, great grandchildren; Jordan, Tabatha, Sam, Mary Kate, Andrew Jr., David and Bryan Jr.; Nieces; Susan, Sally, Jane, nephews; David, Scott and John Jr.
In addition to her husband Russ L. Barger who entered into rest April 28, 2012, she was predeceased by her sister Janie DeWolfe.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Winona Lake Engine Co., 160 S. Plank Rd., Newburgh, NY. Burial of ashes will take place at the convenience of the family in Gardnertown Cemetery, Newburgh.
