Patricia Ann Dobens Boyland, formerly of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, February 4, 2013 at John F. Keever Solace Center, Asheville, NC. She was 82.
Patricia was the daughter of the late Martin and Grace Cooley Ahearn. She was born August 29, 1930 in Middletown, NJ.
She is retired from New York Bell Telephone Co. as a telephone operator and service representative for 35 years in Newburgh, NY. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Patricia was a loving mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and the greatest mother-in-law in the world, and even through her long battle with cancer, she always had a smile on her face.
Survivors include her husband, Bob Boyland; son, Jeff Dobens and wife, Maurene of Maybrook, NY; daughter, Patti Bardin and husband, Steve of Walden, NY, and sister, Martina Walsh and husband, George of Georgetown, DE; stepchildren: Larry and wife, Rosalie, Kathleen, David and Skip Boyland; grandchildren: Keith, Karla, Jessica, Brian and Jennifer; great-grandchildren: AJ, Ava and Luke. Patricia was predeceased by her son, Eddie Dobens in 1979.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Thursday, February 14th, from 5 to 8 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rt. 32), Newburgh, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, February 15th, at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, Rt 52(Orange Lake) Town of Newburgh.
Cremation will follow the Mass at Cedar Hill Crematory. Interment of cremains will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY at a time convenient to the family.
