Natalie Nixon Pelella, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, the retired branch manager for Columbus Trust/Key Bank entered into rest, Monday, February 11, 2013 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence surrounded by her family. She was 85.
The daughter of the late Clair and Hilda Palmer Nixon, Natalie was born February 21, 1927 in Newburgh. She was active with the Club 60 and served as treasurer. Natalie also worked for the Hon. Peter Patsalos and at the Receiver of Taxes office for the Town of Newburgh.
Survivors include her sons; Al Pelella and wife Ineke of Naperville, Illinois, William Pelella and wife PJ Daley of Binghamton, NY, Richard Pelella and wife Tracey of Southbury, CT., sister Jeanette Vigliotti of Titusville, FL., grandchildren; Brent, Taylor, Joanna, Andrea, Tyler, Palmer, Clair, Maggie Rose, Rory, Natalie and Patricia, as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Natalie was predeceased by her husband Alfonso Pelella in 1971 and son Gary W. Pelella in 2006.
Natalie will be remembered for her strength, independence, kindness, and consistently pleasant spirit.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Friday, February 15, 2013 from 5 - 8 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rt 32), Newburgh.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, February 16 at the funeral home with Brother Tom Liotta officiating. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Rt. 94, New Windsor, NY.
