Mildred Clegg, of Newburgh, a retired machine operator for many Handbag factories in the Newburgh and New Windsor area, entered into rest Monday, September 2, 2013 at Elant Nursing Home in Wappingers Falls, NY. She was 91.
The daughter of the late George and Anna Stenglein Clegg, Mildred was born July 31, 1922 in Newburgh.
Mildred was a member of St. Francis Church.
Survivors include her sister, Irene Tomazinis of Orange Park, FL; beloved nephews: Michael King and wife, Elizabeth of Greenwood Lake, NY, Chris King and wife, Elizabeth of Beacon, NY, as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: George, Alfred, Francis, John Clegg, and a sister, Helen King.
Visitation will take place for family and friends, Thursday, September 5th from 4 to 7 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd., (Rte 32), Newburgh. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:15 a.m., Friday, September 6th at St. Francis Church of Assisi, 145 Benkard Ave., Newburgh, with Father Dennis Dinan officiating. Burial to follow at St. Francis Cemetery in New Windsor.
