Virginia (Ginny) A. Cook, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest, Sunday, September 15, 2013, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital - Newburgh Campus. She was 75.
The daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline Miller Green, Virginia was born March 12, 1938 in New Windsor.
Ginny's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Cook, at home; sons: Michael Cook of Milton, Kevin Cook and his wife, Dr. Gina Cook of the Town of Newburgh and Brian Cook of Milton; brothers, Kenneth Green and his wife, Annie of the Town of Newburgh, Raymond Green of Hyde Park; sister, Marilyn Pierce of Florida; brother-in-law, Jack Cook and wife, Lynn of Middletown; grandchildren: Matthew, Emily, Katie, Jake and John; a special niece, Karen Csisack, whom she thought of as the daughter she never had, as well as many other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Louis Green.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday, September 18th from 3 to 7 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd., (Route 32), Newburgh. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., September 19th at the funeral home, with Rev. Howard Dalton. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
The family wishes to thank staff of the ICU Unit in St. Luke's Hospital for the care given to Mrs. Cook.
