Anthony A. Colombo, of Newburgh, a retired logging contractor entered into rest Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Pougkeepsie, NY. He was 80.
The son of the late Michael and Concetta Manzo Colombo, Anthony was born April 11, 1933 in Maynard, Massachusetts.
Anthony is survived by his children; Anthony Colombo and his wife Margery of the Town of Newburgh, John Colombo and his wife Karen of Wallkill, and Ann Marie Czajkowski and her husband Frank of Pahrump, Nevada, grandchildren; Alex Colombo and Jennifer Donnelly, great grandchildren; Avery, Noah and Ella; brothers; Victor Colombo of Farmingham, MA and Victor Colombo of Tyngsboro, MA; as well as nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his wife, Olga Rolon Colombo.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd (Rte 32), Town of Newburgh. A prayer service will take place at the conclusion of visiting hours with Father John Jaume officiating. A memorial mass will take place in the near future.
Cremation will take place Monday, Sept. 30th at Cedar Hill Crematory. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Anthony's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 110 Corporate Park #104, White Plains, NY 10604 - www.diabetes.org
