Lewis Dubois, of the Town of Newburgh, a retired truck driver for Archie Stewart and former employee of Strook Co., entered into rest Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Elant Nursing Home in Newburgh. He was 97.
The son of the late Fred and Mae Enderly Dubois, Lewis was born June 9, 1916 in Lloyd, NY.
Survivors include nieces; Sherry Kerrick, Amanda Carey, Nancy Carey, and Kim Carey, great niece, Iana Vanasselt and nephew, John Kasinki. In addition to his parents, Lewis was predeceased by his wife, Frances Dubois, sisters; Alice, Minnie, Jean, Elizabeth, Mary, Martha, Hilda and Charlotte, brothers; John and Edward Dubois.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Tuesday, October 1st, from 6 to 8 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rte 32) Newburgh. Funeral Mass will be held, 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 2nd, at St. Patrick's Church, 55 Grand St., Newburgh. Burial is to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Rte. 9W, Newburgh.
The family would like to thank the Elant at Meadow Hill Nursing Home for all the love and care they gave their Uncle in the last two years of his life.
