Frederick LeRoy Earl, 84, formerly of Walden, NY entered into rest in his home in Oceanside, CA on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
The son of Cecelia and George Earl, he was born on August 25, 1929 in Newburgh, NY and raised in Plattekill, NY.
In addition to Fred's devoted wife, Guadalupe of 28 years, he will be held forever in the hearts of his son, Larry & his wife Corinne, daughter, Marylyn & her husband Robbie, son, Richard and step-son, Moe, as well as grandchildren: Jennifer, Rheann, Gavin, Marissa, Alysse, Evan, Brent and Megan and great grandchildren, Danny, Gavin, Porter, Corbin, Nicolette, Layla and Meyer. Fred will be missed by his sister, Jane and brother, Larry and his nieces, nephews, great nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by former late wife, Frances of 28 years and his brother, George and sister, June.
Fred joined the Army Aircorp at age 17 on 08/28/46 and honorably separated on 08/31/51 as Staff Sargeant, USAF, a Meteorologist. He raised his children in Walden, NY and actively participated in the community serving as Walden Village Trustee, member of the Walden Fire Dept Fearless Hook & Ladder Co. #1, Chairman of the PAL Board, Assistant Scout Master Boyscout Troop 32 of St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Walden. Retired Heavy Equipment Operator of 35 years from the Operating Engineers. Fred enjoyed exercising and reading the comic strips daily, taking his boat out in the Pacific Ocean, R.V. camping in the desert and walks with his wife and their Doberman, Lady.
A family memorial will take place in his home in Oceanside, CA.
