Stephen Cullen Weber, of the Town of Newburgh, NY passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
He was born in Columbia, MO, on February 9, 1956, to John Edward Weber, Jr. and the late Margaret Ann (Bergman) Weber. Stephen graduated from Farmington High School (MO) and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from The Southwest Missouri University in 1978. He spent his career in the hospitality industry with his last position being Director of Sales at the Downtown Conference Center/Benchmark Hospitality International.
Stephen was a beloved member of Leptondale Bible Church, Newburgh, NY, where he served as an elder and participated in various other ministries. Having a lifelong interest in history and the military, he was an avid and compassionate supporter of our nation's veterans affairs. Stephen's unwavering determination and commitment toward overcoming the challenges that he faced late in his life inspired those around him.
Stephen is survived by his wife of over 26 years, Felecia Rose (Myers) Weber; his father, John Edward Weber, Jr. of Farmington, MO; his siblings: John Edward Weber, III of West Plains, MO, Jennifer Cecilia (Weber) Hall of Farmington, MO, James Hanson Weber of Glen Allen, VA, William Joseph Weber of Waco, TX, and Mark Andrew Weber of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: John E. Weber, IV, Christopher J. Weber, Michael J. Hall, Megan M. (Hall) Coleman, Joseph R. Weber, Lauren E. Weber, Zachary T. Weber, Alexia D. (Karimi) Ghering, Leia G. Carter, and great-nephew, Easton M. Coleman.
A Memorial Service will be held at Leptondale Bible Church, 1771 Route 300, Newburgh, NY 12550, on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.; a reception will follow.
