Edward F. Bagdonas of Newburgh entered into rest August 15, 2015 at Montrose VA Nursing Home. He was 95 years old.
The son of the late of Joseph and Marcella Brenanski Bagdonas, Edward was born July 12, 1920 in Brooklyn.
He was very proud of being a veteran of WWII where he served as a Military Policeman in the US Army. He received the WWII Victory Medal and American Defense Service Medal. After being honorably discharged, he worked at the West Point Printing Office as a Lithographer for 33 years until his retirement. He also worked as a part-time employee for the A & P Company for many years.
Edward is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Olson Bagdonas at home; daughters: Diane Greeney and husband, William of New Windsor, Joanne Calli and husband, Robert of Montgomery; three grandchildren: John Greeney and wife, Jessica of Poughkeepsie, Gina Calli of New Paltz, and Kristen Calli, of Montgomery, and two great-grandchildren: Abigail and Lucas Greeney.
In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his sister, Marcella Peckham.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, August 18th from 10 a.m. to Noon at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Route 32), Newburgh. Funeral service will commence at Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gardnertown Cemetery, Union Ave., Newburgh.
