Margaret Prokosch of Newburgh entered into rest October 12, 2015 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Ossining, NY. She was 89 years old.
The daughter of the late Asa and Elizabeth Allen Tubbs, Margaret was born October 23, 1925 in Warwick, NY.
Margaret was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 152, Disabled American Veterans, Club 60 Senior Group and volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital, Castle Point and the YWCA.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Sucari of Floral Park, NY, grandchildren; Lisette Miller and Karena Sucari-Mutt, great- grandchildren, Isabella Mutt and Amanda Miller, sisters: Edna Bruno of Newburgh, Elsie Bedell of the Town of Newburgh, and her brother, William Tubbs of New Windsor, as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Woodrow Prokosch; son, Dale Prokosch, silblings; Richard Tubbs, George Tubbs and Dorothy Wright.
Visitation will take place Monday, October 19th from 3 to 6 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rte. 32) Newburgh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 20th at the funeral home. Pastor Jeffrey Hooker will officiate.
Burial to follow the service at Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor.
