Richard D. "Dino" Borden, of the Town of Newburgh, a retired shipping clerk for IBM in Poughkeepsie entered into rest at home, Saturday, December 19, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was 85 years old.
The son of the late Richard J. and Brallie (Dekle) Borden, Richard was born December 30, 1929 in Detroit, MI. The family moved to Braintree, MA where "Dino" spent most of his childhood.
Richard was an Army veteran who proudly served his country, a life member of the Plattekill Rod and Gun Club and the IBM Quarter Century Club. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Bette J. (Decker) Borden at home; loving daughter, Sandy Camera and her husband, Vernon of the Town of Newburgh; grandchildren: Melissa Pimentel and her husband, Joe and Joseph Toth and his soul mate, Amanda Behr. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Borden.
Visitation for family and friends will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, December 21st at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Route 32), Newburgh.
Funeral service will commence 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 22nd at the funeral home. Minister Steve Sherwood will officiate. Burial to follow the service in Modena Rural Cemetery.
