Anne-Sofie Schoeninger Beck of Salisbury Mills, NY, a retired home health aide for Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern entered into rest, Wednesday, January 6, 2016 after a very brief illness at home with friends by her side. She was 78.
Daughter of the late Philip and Johanna Schoeninger, Anne was born January 27, 1937 in Livingston, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her husband, H.V. Gordon Beck (Skip) of 45 years.
She had a warm heart and was a great caregiver working as a home health aide for 30 years. Her dedication to her faith and her church was unmatched and her generosity, sense of humor, independent and unforgettable spirit will be forever ingrained in those she touched. Her greatest joy was to work in the gardens of her home and her church, as well as being outdoors and in her kayak.
Anne is survived by her children, Karl and Karen Beck, her brother, Phillip Schoeninger of Massachusetts, sister-in-law, Joyce Kuhn, several nieces and nephews, her sister in heart, Mary McCorvey and a spoiled rotten black lab, "Pups".
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.
A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern, 9 Vance Road, Rock Tavern, NY on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A reception with light refreshments will follow.
