Alan Richard Toth, 68 went home to be with his Lord on March 7, 2016 after a brief illness; Alan was born March 24, 1947 in Manhattan, NY. He was the loving husband of Janet Anderson Toth and the son of Ethel Chik Toth and the Late Frank Lee Toth, Sr.
A graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Chemistry.(The only one of 150 Chemistry Majors to complete his degree.) He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Specialist E5 in Fort Sam Houston, TX in the hospital division. Alan was employed by Siemens Corp. in Tarrytown, NY as a Sr. Staff Scientist in the Analytical Dept. for over 35 years. He loved his job and never wanted to retire.
Alan married Janet Anderson, the love of his life on Sept. 25, 1976 and together they raised two wonderful children, Joshua Toth and Bethany Toth. He was an avid hiker, bicyclist, encourager, teacher, mentor and friend. But more than these, Alan loved the truths that he found in the Word of God and lived them out in every breath he took.
He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Janet, his son, Joshua and fiance' Jodie Rein, LaGrange, NY, his daughter, Bethany and boyfriend, Karl Vatore, of Newburgh, His mother, Ethel Toth, Upper Saddle River, NJ, brother, Frank Toth, Roseboom, NY, his cousin, Douglas Kolozsy, Port Roberts, W A., as well as nieces and nephews and many more loving family and friends. Predeceased by daughter, Elizabeth Toth, father, Frank Toth, Sr., cousin, Dennis Kolozsy, grandparents, John and Ethel Chik, and his Aunt and Uncle, Margaret and Frank Kolozsy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Leptondale Bible Church, 1771 Route 300, Newburgh, NY on Saturday, March 12th at 3p.m., a reception will follow at the church.
