Charles J. Baranski, Sr. of New Windsor, a retired vending manager for Pepsi Cola Bottling Co., and also retired employee of Toyota in New Windsor entered into rest Friday, October 14, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.
The son of the late Anthony and Anna Simanoski Baranski, Charles was born December 18, 1928 in Tarrytown, NY.
He was an US Army Veteran and served our country during the Korean Conflict, member of St. Francis Church, American Legion, Local 812 Soft Drink Workers Union. He was the Grand Merci in 1989 Booshway Muzzleloaders of the Black Rock Fish and Game Club, Gorale Dance Group, "SOURS" Model Airplane Club and a model airplane enthusiast, an accomplished licensed private pilot who also enjoyed building and flying his own ultra light aircraft along with sailing, boating and wind surfing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jane Dabroski Baranski, his son Charles J. Baranski Jr. and his wife Linda of New Windsor, daughters; Anna Faricellia and husband Destino of Las Vegas, Susan Powles and husband Harold of New Windsor, sister Helen Ross and husband Donald of Barefoot Bay, Florida, Grand children; Jennifer Baranski, Kristoffer Baranski, Anna Marie Castillo, Jonathan Faricellia and wife Sandra, Joseph Faricellia, Christine Faricellia and Destina Piaquadio and husband Dean, as well as nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family would like to give special thanks to Charles's caregivers Eileen, Ann, Catherine.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 4-8 PM at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd. (Rt. 32), Newburgh, NY.
Funeral Mass will be offered 10 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Ave., Newburgh, NY. Father John Vondras will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Francis Cemetery in New Windsor.
