Merchandise

When planning a funeral, one of the many decisions you will make is where your loved one’s final resting place will be. Depending on whether you choose a cemetery, your home, your garden or some other location, you will need to choose an appropriate protective container. Your funeral director will match your specific needs to all available options, which may include caskets, outer burial containers, or urns.

You may also want to purchase a permanent memorialization for your loved one. Memorializations include personalized markers, monuments and a variety of keepsakes — all crafted with care using the finest quality materials.

Caskets

Caskets are made in a wide variety of styles and materials. They can be made from inexpensive materials, such as pine or a composite of hardboard, and cost very little. Or they can be very expensive when made from the finest materials such as bronze or mahogany. Stainless steel and steel caskets are also popular options. We also offer a rental casket for families who choose to have a visitation or funeral service prior to cremation.

Outer Burial Containers (Vaults)

Most cemeteries require that caskets be placed in an outer burial container capable of withstanding the weight and pressures of the earth above and surrounding the receptacle. Our Merchandise Selection Room provides samples of outer burial containers and other vaults for each family to preview and make their selection of choice.

No New York state or local law requires that you buy a receptacle to surround the casket in the grave. However many cemeteries ask that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink. Either a burial vault or a grave liner will satisfy these requirements.

Memorial Monuments and Markers

Permanent memorials stand the test of time. They are a solid and visible tribute to a life that has been lived. Permanent Memorials individualize and designate a physical place where loved ones can come to pay their respects.

Cremation Caskets (For use prior to cremation)

We are pleased to be one of the few if not only area funeral homes to offer the use of a rental casket. It makes little economic sense to purchase a casket for visitation or funeral service and then cremate it. We offer families the use of a cremation rental casket thereby saving the family hundreds or thousands of dollars compared to other funeral homes that require you to purchase a casket when the final disposition is cremation.

Urns

Memorial Urns are permanent containers for the cremated body. We offer a wide range of styles and prices appropriate for burial, niches, scattering, keepsakes or discreet placement in a home. Your personal plans for the final placement of the urn can play an important part in you selection process. Some urns are ornately designed for display purposes while others are very basic in style. Many of the urns can also be personalized with engravings or laser designs.

Urn Vaults

Urn Vaults are protective containers in which urns are commonly placed. In some cases, where families desire to bury the urn-encapsulated remains of their loved one, cemeteries may require the use of an urn vault. Much like burial vaults for caskets, urn vaults protect the urn from being crushed, and protect the ground above them from caving in over time.

Flowers

Our staff can assist with floral tributes from family and friends. A wide variety of selections are available that can be displayed at the service, ceremony or visitation.
